Ken Barras serves as the Executive Director of Commercial Operations and manages all Patient Access, Field Reimbursement, Nursing, Risk Management, and Pharmacy teams as well as all Patient Assistance Programs at UBC’s St. Louis, MO facility.
Ken joined the organization in 2016 with more than 20 years of operational leadership experience and 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has significant experience and standout successes in contact centers, operations and client relations. Before joining UBC, Ken spent more than a decade at Walgreens where he co-led the startup of the customer care operations organization and most recently, the contact center transformation strategy.
In his current role, he oversees and leads a staff of directors, managers, reimbursement specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and representatives who support large and mid-size pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Ken ensures program operations meet patient satisfaction expectations, contractual requirements and service expectations of our clients. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Louisiana State University and executive education in creating strategic impact from Columbia Business School.
