The Top 5 Reasons UBC is a Great Place to Work

In Patrick Lindsay’s recent interview with Pharmaceutical Executive magazine he was very frank about his position on talent, saying, “… our greatest asset is people. I spend a good part of every waking moment thinking how do I attract the top talent in our field?”

As the leader of the Talent Acquisition teams for UBC and Express Scripts, I value that the president of UBC cares as much as I do about attracting the best candidates. Wanting to hire the brightest in our field is just one piece of the puzzle. Equally as important is having the culture and commitment to making UBC the best workplace it can be. There are many reasons you should consider a career at UBC, but here are my top 5:

  • Meaningful work
Our employees provide vital support to life-changing therapies. Want to work on drug development or patient access solutions that span therapeutic areas from oncology to cardiology to neuroscience? You can do that here. We engage in interesting, innovative projects that you won’t find at any other company.

  • Recognition and rewards
Our pay for performance culture ensures we are competitive, promote internal equity and consistency, and align with our business objectives – while maintaining a clear focus on paying for performance at the individual level. Hard work is expected, recognized and rewarded.

  • Development
We invest in our employees’ development to ensure they are growing and acquiring the skills they need – empowering them to meet their full potential.

  • Global focus
In his interview, Patrick pointed out, “Today, we have 18 offices around the world. At every hour of the day, someone is awake and working for UBC. This global focus offers unique opportunities and new challenges, and gives employees the opportunity to interact with coworkers around the globe, expanding their knowledge and experience.”

  • Stability
As a subsidiary of Express Scripts, UBC employees enjoy the resources and stability of a Fortune 25 company. This alignment confirms UBC’s position as an industry leader and enables our team to work closely with Express Scripts, Accredo Specialty Pharmacy and CuraScript Specialty Distribution to support projects that span the lifecycle of a product.
