Webinar: Multinational Retrospective Chart Reviews

Body:

In the absence of available medical claims or other databases, retrospective chart review designs can be leveraged to support the gathering of real-world data appropriate for evaluations of burden of illness, drug utilization and safety outcomes.  Data collected from these studies can be used to characterize real-world patients, evaluate clinical and safety outcomes, document usual care treatment patterns, and estimate treatment costs.  Traditionally, chart review studies have been employed to evaluate burden of illness and patterns of care, but, increasingly, this methodology is being applied to meet marketing authorization and risk management data requirements including data that reflect off label-use. Drawing on experience across a broad range of chart review studies, this webcast highlights key design and operational challenges associated with data gathering approach.
