Task-based Versus Case-based Analysis of Time Outcomes in Multi-country Time and Motion (T&M) Studies: Methodological Considerations and Application

Time-based variables are challenging due to numerous sources of variability and potential confounding, including but not limited to, individual site characteristics, inter-rater variability, characteristics of personnel being observed, as well as selection bias and residual confounding. We previously reported a need to assess and manage these challenges from study conceptualization through to analysis to increase the precision of time estimates. This poster compares two approaches to analyze Time and Motion (T&M) data, using as a case study data from three countries in the rituximab T&M Study.
