Your connection to better health
In 2001, Dr. Renee Hilliard received her doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree with High Honors from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. It was in graduate school that she founded A Bridge to Academic Excellence, a tutorial program where graduate students from University of Maryland Schools of Law, Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy and Social Work tutor local high school students in math, science, and SAT preparation. Despite working full time various jobs ranging from government, long term care consulting, hospital, pharmaceutical industry and as needed jobs in retail pharmacy, she volunteers time to help elderly members of her church manage their medications and find good physicians to care for them. She takes pride in immunizing the community at local churches and volunteering at her church as the coordinator of the food pantry for disenfranchised citizens in Baltimore City and the country of Haiti. Throughout her career, she has volunteered at community health fairs all over the state and mentored women to pursue careers/trades and has had the pleasure of seeing these young women achieve success. In addition, she has served for a week in Haiti on mobile medical teams for five years and sponsors a few Haitian children to attend private Christian schools. Dr. Hilliard also takes pride in helping her church’s missionaries serve the homeless lunch monthly. She's a pharma hero.
